Today’s world has shown us that computer web-based application is among the pillars of advanced computing system technology in all sectors of society that has turned out as the most effective way to lead to efficient information management. This research project entitled “Design and implementation of Central supplying inventory management information system” is aimed to developing a well web-based application accessible through internet, with a database that stores information, generate reports though fast, reliable and user-friendly interfaces for better management of inventory of trust and work company ltd. During the collection of data, interview, Observation, archives and documentations were used. Spiral model was used as a software development methodology lifecycle, and during the system design we have used SSADM which helped to know and determine the flow of information the system,while designing the database we have used Xampp as local host and MySQL as Database, we have also used the following programming languages whereby: PHP and JavaScript and scripting and styling with HTML,CSS and w3School css framework, lastly we have used editor for writing the source which is visual studio. By concluding this work we have seen that as we are facing different changes which require us to walk in hand with the digitalization this project will help to digitalize the inventory such that anyone having the access can access it easily through internet by the mean of computer or any other smart device which can read, accept input and generate the output on screen this web based application can be accessible and giving the kin and quickest way to make and generator the inventory report; recommended also the future researcher to deepen this works by implementing other new feature that might be lacking missing the system.

Online training system project report
The increasing demand for flexible and accessible learning platforms has prompted many organizations to adopt online training systems. NOVATECH, a training company based in Kisii, , aims to equip students and professionals with the skills necessary to thrive in today’s competitive job market. However, the company currently lacks a formal online platform, limiting its ability to efficiently manage training materials and reach a broader audience. This project seeks to address these challenges by developing an online training system tailored to the needs of NOVATECH. The proposed system will be built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for the frontend, and PHP with MySQL for the backend. This system will streamline the management of training resources, enable real-time tracking of learner progress, and provide users with easy access to training materials from anywhere, at any time. The integration of a user-friendly interface will ensure that learners can navigate the platform seamlessly, while administrators can efficiently manage content and monitor learner activities. Through interviews with NOVATECH staff and potential users, this project identified key requirements for the system, including course management, user authentication, and secure data storage. The design phase incorporated these requirements, leading to the development of a scalable and secure platform that meets both current and future training needs. The successful implementation of this system will enhance NOVATECH’s ability to deliver highquality training, improve learner outcomes, and expand the company’s reach beyond its current geographic limitations. Effects of interpersonal conflicts on organizational performance of selected hotels in kisii town - hospitality and tourism research project
Get your editable project Success in businesses and other entities, like international organizations, depends on several issues, a key one being conflict management. Yet most leaders and their senior managers seem unaware of the negative impact that interpersonal conflict in the workplace can have on their bottom line. Maintaining a good working environment devoid of interpersonal conflicts is critical for the survival of a company in a competitive environment as in the hospitality sector as it can greatly influence the performance of an organization. Further, limited literature and studies related to interpersonal conflict exist in the hotel sector in Kenya, hence the need for this study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of interpersonal conflict on organizational performance of selected hotels in Kisii town. This was carried out by investigating the types of interpersonal conflict, outcomes of interpersonal conflict and strategies for managing interpersonal conflict. The study employed both descriptive survey design and explanatory research design. The target population was three hundred and fifty four employees while the sample size was one hundred and eighty four employees. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the hotels for the study while stratified random sampling was used to select the respondents and the criteria for stratification was according to the department worked in and the rank. Data was obtained from primary and secondary sources. Instruments for collecting primary data included self-administered questionnaires. A pilot test was conducted to test the content validity of the data collection instruments while reliability was measured using the Cronbach’s Alpha. Both descriptive and inferential analysis was performed and multiple regression used to test the hypotheses. Results showed that interpersonal conflict strategies, relationship conflict and task conflict significantly affects organisational performance respectively, while outcomes of interpersonal conflict does not significantly affect organisational performance .To improve the performance of hotels in Kisii, more emphasis should be placed on improving strategies to cope with costs, followed by alleviation of task conflicts, relationship conflicts and finally outcomes of conflicts. The recommendation from the study was that hotels should prioritize training on conflict competencies and strategies particularly for supervisors, while employees should be trained on how to select and use the appropriate styles of handling interpersonal conflict so that various situations can be effectively dealt with.

Determinants of customer satisfaction on banquet services in hotels in kisii town - hospitality and tourism research project
Get your editable research project This study sought to analyse determinants of customer satisfaction of banquet services in Kisii Town, Kenya. The drop in influx of foreign and domestic tourists seeking for hospitality services in Kisii State has forced hoteliers into competing for banquet events as a means of remaining in business. Customers are the focus of every successful service operations; it is important that banquet managers know what customers want in banquet service operations in order to stop them from switching to other providers and remaining loyal to a provider. The objectives of the study were: to determine the relationship between socio-economic background of customers and their satisfaction of banquet services offered in Kisii Town, to examine the impact of hotel location on customer satisfaction of the banquet service, to assess the effect of price on customer satisfaction, and to investigate the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction of banquet services offered in hotels in Kisii Town. The study adopted descriptive research survey design. Quantitative methods were used to collect primary data. Fisher’s formula was used to select a sample population of this study. The study targeted a population of 391, which comprised of the clients that sponsored the banquet functions and attendees of banquet services in hotels in Kisii Town. The study sampled 50% of the hotels whereby purposive sampling technique was employed to select 17 hotels representing three types of hotel classifications; ranging from ‘A’ to ‘C’ category. In addition purposive sampling method was used to select clients who booked for banquet events, while probability sampling techniques were used to select the attendees who participated in the study. The study used structured questionnaires to collect primary data from the respondents. Descriptive statistical analysis such as standard deviation, mean ranking was applied to describe the study variables in line with the study objectives. Gap analysis using the service quality measurement instrument (SERVQUAL) developed by Parasuraman, Zeithml and Berry (1988) was used to determine the customer satisfaction in relation to quality of service rendered. Spearman Rank Order Correlation (rho) and multiple regression analysis were used to assess the relationship between banquet service quality and customer satisfaction. The analysed data was presented in tables and charts to represent quantitative findings. The study findings were summarised and conclusion made in an attempt to describe the research objectives. The study, in summary, found that the demographic characteristics, price of the banquet services, location and tangibility aspect of SERVQUAL did not influence customer satisfaction. However, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy dimensions of SERVQUAL influenced the customer satisfaction on quality service. The study recommends that hotels should develop standard operations procedures as a measure of ensuring coordinated service delivery to address the reliability, responsiveness, apathy and empathy dimension aspect of the service quality which the study revealed to be lacking in the service delivery process. 1

Design of 2KM Road Pavement - civil engineering project
The main goal of flexible road pavement is to lower the sub grade’s stress to a point where it isn't affected by traffic, preventing the sub grade from deforming. A thorough final year project report covering a 2km section has been completed at Kisii National Polytechnic, and planned. This project's primary goal is to design flexible road pavement of Kisii Town. The site visit and data collection are the first steps in the methodology for designing the flexible road pavement. The AASHTO method is used, and input parameters such as reliability, over standard deviation, standard normal deviation, lane distribution factor, and direction distribution factor are taken from libraries and the internet.1,2,3,5,6, and the Corresponding CBR values are, in that order, 14.748%, 5.8%, 32.204%, 17.503%, 17.580%, and 27.49%. Sub base and base material have respective design CBRs of 26.79% and 72.33%. Following analysis of the relevant traffic survey, w18 =186883.3872= 0.186883*106 ESAL was calculated. The design MR of the pavement layers for the sub grade, sub base, and base were taken into consideration, and their respective pressures were 16943.67 psi, 20955.27psi, and 39568.96 psi. There are numbers for the design structure. Sub base, base, and sub grade are in that order, 1.9, 1.7, and 1.3 for sub grade. The coefficients of the structure layers for the surface, base, and sub base are 0.44, 0.131, and 0.11, in that order. The final drainage coefficient of 1.20 indicates that the layer thicknesses for all sections are 7.62 cm for surfacing, 12.7 cm for base, and 17.78 cm for sub base.

Structural and architectural design of gymnasium - building and civil engineering project
This research project entitled “Structural Design Of G+1 Gymnasium in Kisii University” This research carries out the analysis of the structural elements such as the design of beam, slab, column, foundation and stair which was considered in this project and determine the capacity of my gymnasium where it will be able to accommodate 1300 people and also, we have to look about ventilation system that will provide fresh air at the gymnasium. To achieve the above objectives, the inputs data including structural loadings and architectural drawings (dead loads) were entered and processed through software like archiCAD22 and AutoCAD to produce in details all architectural drawings, and Etabs for analysis of maximum moment and shear on the structural element for Concrete Frames (Beams & Columns) and Prokon for Slab and Footing. Methods from knowledge to analyze and calculating the structural elements such as reinforcement, quantity of items, checking safety for soil if it is able to resist to the super structural element. It was concluded that the design of gymnasium was a very careful task to achieve because each structure member was designed at their most critically loaded areas to provide the maximum safety resistance and serviceability of such public building. The results showed that the designed steel reinforcements to be arranged in slab l5T12@200 C/C and 3T10 @250 C/C at the bottom while for T beam designed steel reinforcements were 6T20@47 C/C at the top and 7T16@28 C/C at the bottom another L beam designed steel reinforcement were 2T8@273 C/C at the top and 2T8@280 C/C at the bottom. And for column the designed steel reinforcement was 5T25@250C/C for ground floor part the column and T8@200 C/C for first floor, second for the designed steel reinforcement were 6T16@100 C/C and 6T16 @ 100 C/C, for the stair designed steel reinforcement were 8T10@260C/C for main and 6T8@160 C/C.

This Project titled “Architectural and Structural Design of Three-storey Clinic in Kisii District: addresses the pressing need for modern infrastructure in Kisii, particularly in meeting the growing demands of the hospitality industry. Given Kisii’s socio-economic landscape, where the tourism and hospitality sectors are pivotal for economic growth, this study aims to evaluate and create a sustainable architectural framework and structural design for a hotel that integrates modern design principles and sustainability. Problem Statement: As Kisii advances towards its vision for sustainable development, there is a critical requirement for infrastructures, such as hotels, that cater to the influx of tourists while promoting local economic growth. This study seeks to address the gap in architectural and structural frameworks within the hospitality sector, particularly in densely populated regions like Kisii District. Objectives: The primary objective of this study is to design a comprehensive architectural model and structural configuration for a three-storey Clinic, aiming for efficiency, safety, and aesthetic appeal. The specific objectives include: This study adopted a case study methodology focusing on Kisii District. Data was collected through site observations and analysis of the existing infrastructure. Architectural designs were rendered using ARCHICAD, while structural designs—including slabs, beams, columns, and foundations—were analyzed using PROKON software. Reinforcement specifications were calculated for each structural element to ensure safety and durability. The architectural design emphasized the integration of modern aesthetics with functional spaces, including reception areas, guest accommodations, and service rooms. The structural analysis revealed that the designed building could effectively support anticipated live and dead loads while maintaining safety standards. Recommendation: It is recommended that further research focuses on environmental impacts and how to incorporate renewable energy practices into clinic designs. Additionally, policymakers should facilitate training programs for civil engineering students to enhance competencies in using modern design software, which is crucial for sustainable infrastructure development in Kisii.

The objectives of the study are; to examine the extent to which staff involvement in decision making influence staff productivity in hotel establishments in Kisii town, Kisii County, to determine the influence of staff involvement in decision making on hotel productivity, to examine the extent to which staff involvement in decision making influence sales growth in hotel establishments and to identify the factors militating against staff involvement in decision making in hotel establishments in Kisii town, Kisii County. To achieve the objective of the study, survey research design was adopted. The researcher adopted primary data in getting the required information through the use of structured questionnaire. The population of the study is 38 registered hotels in Kisii town, Kisii County with 520 staff strength. The sample size of the study is 226 after adopting Taro Yamane formula. In analyzing the data, simple regression analysis was used. The findings revealed that staff involvement in decision making has a significant influence on staff productivity in hotel establishments. The findings further revealed that staff involvement in decision making has a significant influence on hotel productivity in Kisii town, Kisii County. The findings also revealed that staff involvement in decision making has a significant influence on sales growth of hotels in Kisii town, Kisii County. However, the study recommends that Hotels should provide an enlightenment program for workers on their rights to seize the opportunity of involvement in decision making. Also, hotels should liberalize management structure so as to allow for greater workers involvement.

Recovery measures in star related hotels in kisii town in post COVID-19 - hospitality and tourism research project
Get your editable research project Since March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) established a global pandemic status for 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Global pandemic status means that the disease is throughout the world; the entire world population wherever their country is,can be potentially be infected. This study aims to examine the recovery measures in star-rated hotels in Nairobi post-COVID-19 Pandemic. The data collection method that was used in the study is the primary data collection method. Primary data collection involved the use of questionnaires distributed to the various star-rated hotels in Nairobi to determine the recovery measures put in place post the COVID-19 Pandemic and weresigned by various managers heading the various departments in the hotels. Questionnaires were used because they are easy to distribute among a large group and large amounts of information can be collected effectively and on time. Questionnaires are alsoeasy to facilitate because the questions are often easy and straightforward, therefore, making them very practical. Data was collected with the aid of a questionnaire as the ideal data collection tool. The target population was star-rated hotels in Nairobi which are 53 in total ranging from two to five-star ratings. The sampling design was a simple random sampling where every member of the population had an equal chance of being selected to be sampled and the sample size will be a target of all the 53 hotels which is the entire population. Data collected through questionnaires wereanalyzed using charts and converted into percentages.Out of the 53 listings of star-rated hotels in Nairobi to whom questionnaires were issued, the response rate was 18 respondents.A total of 88.9 % of the respondents knew about the COVID-19 Pandemic to detail while 11.1% were familiar with it. The study found out the importance of undertaking recovery measures. 66.7% of the respondents thought that it was extremely important to have recovery initiatives in place, 16.7% thought that it was very important,11.1 % thought that it was important while 5.5% thought it was somewhat important.Inconcltion, the study shows that Recovery and sustainability is the most important aspect for Star-Rated Hotels to survive in a post Pandemic era.

Effects of customer perceived risks of online hotel booking in kisii town - hospital and tourism research project
Get your editable research project This research work evaluated customer’s perceived risk and online bookings of hotels in Kisii Town. It was a descriptive survey research in which 4 specific objectives, 4 research questions and 4 research hypotheses guided the study. The researchers purposively use 18 hotels in Kisii Town as its case study and 384 as its sample size. The research instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire on a 5 point rating scale, which was subjected to a reliability test that produce a reliability coefficient of 0.853, descriptive and inferential statistics on SPSS version 20.0 was used to analyze the data generated. Findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between financial risk and online booing of hotels in Kisii Town and there is a significant relationship between financial risk and online booking of hotels in Kisii Town . Secondly, there is no significant relationship between security risk and online booking of hotels in Kisii Town and there is a significant relationship between security risk and online booking of hotels in Kisii Town . Thirdly, there is no significant relationship between social risk and online booking of hotels in Kisii Town and there is a relationship between social risk and online booking of hotels in Kisii Town . Following the positive and insignificant relationship between online booking as a dimension of customer’s perceived risk, the study recommended that in booking of hotels online, customers should look out for secured and registered sites to avoid loss of money and other financial details and hotel owners introducing online platforms should also make sure that their sites are secured from intruders in other to protect their customers.

The implementation is based on the requirements for a hotel management system. The project work is divided into five major categories which are; Front Desk, Accommodation, Catering, Finance & Account and Personnel Staff Record (Human resource management). This project accomplished the task of building a system that ensures accurate record maintenance which was done through proper identification of customers and the proper designation of user functions with most of the processes being done automatically. An electronic hotel management information system is required to assist management of data in the hospitality industry and also to make the entire hotel management process easier. The project was designed with the use of Microsoft visual Studio which is an integrated development environment made by Microsoft. Effects of destination marketing on tourism performance - hospitality and tourism research project
the current competitive business environment, the use of advertisement as a marketing strategy cannot be out looked in order to remain competitive in the tourism industry. Advertising has been embraced by many as a result of increased technological advancement, where by social media, broadcasting channels and other technologies have been embraced to market and create awareness about the existence of a product and services in a destination. This study therefore, sought to evaluate the influence/effectiveness of destination advertising on tourism performance in Thomsons Falls, Laikipia County. The specific objectives of this study were to examine the various methods of advertising used in Thomsons Falls, to determine the perception of tourists on the effectiveness of the methods used for advertising, to determine the impacts of the different forms of advertising on tourism performance and also to determine the challenges of advertising. Descriptive research design was used in this study. The study employed purposive sampling method in selecting the sample elements. Primarydatawascollectedusingquestionnairesandinterviewschedules.Secondarydatawas collected from documented information to supplement the primary data. The respondents were the employees in Thomsons Falls, TRA officers Laikipia County and the visitors. The target population was 160 respondents, where 50 respondents were accessed as the sample size. Data was processed and analyzed quantitatively. The analysis was done with the help of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and Excel. Measures of central tendency were used to analyze the quantitative data. The data was presented in form of graphs, tables and charts indicating the frequencies, mean and percentages. The key findings were that: Advertising results to increased profits by 23% to the tourism organizations. This is as aresult 15% increase in visitor numbers, the study also concurred that advertising helps in retaining a firms competitiveness in the market and enables a firm to compete favorably as provided by 21% of the respondents. The research found out from 42% of the respondents population that the use of social media, personal selling and media broadcasting are the most embraced marketing tools which are effective to both the organization and the clients. The study findings and recommendations are useful to the travel and tourism industry stakeholders, the government, all other linked industries and the entire society, and it emphasizes on the importance of advertising and how it affects tourism performance.

The study focuses on various objectives that make up the dependent and independent variables which will in turn be analyzed and presented after the data collection procedures. The study looked into various previous researches done on the same and identified the research gap which determined the target audience and the research group and site. As the researcher will proceed to data collection, the study will employ the use of questionnaires to collect relevant data for the study. The researcher will use census sampling technique whereby; the five-star hotels will be sampled using stratified sampling. Cluster sampling technique will be employed in that the sample will be categorized into two clusters namely: the entire service delivery team making up the hotel management and staff and the customers who frequently use the five-star hotels in Nairobi CBD area. The researcher will collect both qualitative and quantitative data which will be analyzed using SPSS and presented in form of tables and graphs for easy understanding. The study findings will, then, be presented and from which, conclusion and recommendations will be drawn to assist in future studies and to assist the hotels provide better services that satisfy the customers

ROLE OF CHURCH POLICIES IN MITIGATING DIVORCE CASES AMONG CHRISTIAN FAMILIES: A STUDY OF THE ANGLICAN CHURCH, KISII DEANERY, KISII COUNTY, KENYA ABSTRACT Marriage is vital to our nature as human beings in society. This is because it forms the foundation of the family, both in terms of procreation and nurture. It is therefore, imperative that the Christian church clarify, teach, and faithfully uphold what the Bible says about marriage. The church must also speak biblically to the issues affecting marriage such as divorce which is a critical matter affecting the society today including the church membership. This happens despite the church teaching and policies on marriage as a permanent union. It is against this background that the study found it necessary to investigate the role of church policies in mitigating divorce cases among Christian families in the Anglican Church Kisii Deanery. The following objectives guided the study: to examine causes of divorce among Christian families, to assess the impact of divorce on Christian families, to establish the Church policy on marriage and divorce among Christian families and to evaluate the strategies put in place by the church to curb divorce rate among Christian families. The study was anchored on two theories that is the Functionalist Theory founded by Emile Durkheim and Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love. The study targeted a population of 9 Vicars, 359 church official heading various departments,3050 Christian families and 100 divorcees. The study adopted Qualitative research design. Qualitative data was collected from Parish Vicars, Divorcee’s, church leaders and Christian families using questionnaire and interview schedules. Data was analysed using thematic and narrative approach and results presented using graphs, tables, charts and narrations. The findings revealed that 68% strongly agreed that Anglican Church policies on marriage and divorce are accessible to members, however, members still find it difficult to implement some of the policies as required leading to marriage divorce. Financial problems 92.5%, infidelity 80% and communication problems 62% were identified as frequently causing divorce. Divorce was seen to be having devastating effects on families and the society at large. Additionally the church was found to be highly involved in Premarital and post marital counselling programs and pastoral counselling programs 29.7% and lowly involved in organizing marriage seminars, training, workshops 55.7% and provision of marriage literature 45.7%. The study findings recommends that the church leadership to; establish family meetings days, regularize induction and training of church leaders on marital matters, strengthen marriage mentorship programs, organizes marriage seminars and workshop to church members targeting youth’s department and the couples and finally strengthen the existing church guidance and counselling department. The suggested recommendations if implemented will help church departments such mothers’ union, youth department, married couple and potential marriage couples, pastors and other church leaders to address perennial marital challenges leading to divorce experienced by church members.

Adoption of Agent Banking as a Financial System and Its Benefits to Involved Financial banking
ABSTRACT The study about agent banking and its benefits to involved Financial Stakeholders was conducted in the banking Sector, comprised of two objectives: explore the process for adoption of agent banking for the creation of a financial system: A case of BK and Equity Bank Kenya; and identify the benefits of agent banking as a financial system for financial stakeholders, including agents and commercial banks, central bank, Access to Finance Kenya and customers. The agent banking is designed to help commercial banks increase their outreach without incurring additional costs of setting up physical branches. This study used an exploratory case study research design and sample size of 26 respondents. Data were collected using interviews and analyzed using content analysis. The study identified the process of adoption of agent banking as a financial system and benefits to involved financial stakeholders banking to follow the proposed steps. This study found that agent banking adoption process starts with Central bank issuing agent banking guidelines and Commercial banks apply to obtain prior written approval of the Central bank. In this process, commercial banks invite interested agents to apply seeking permission to provide financial services on their behalf. Technological devices such as mobile phone and POS machines and computer machines are used in the process to provide the financial services after signing the contract between a commercial bank and an agent. It benefits Central bank and Access to Finance Kenya in terms of promoting financial inclusion; increasing the market share and market penetration especially in remote areas for commercial banks. Agents benefit from it, in terms of commission received for agents and customers get convenient access to bank services, for customers. The study concluded that, agent banking that should be adopted by all the commercial banks in order to speed up the promotion of financial inclusion in Kenya. It therefore recommended that the central bank should provide online approval to easy the process. Commercial banks should keep increasing the number of agents to reach potential customers in unbanked locations. They should also adopt other technological devices to provide agent banking services and offer micro loans via agents. Increase the threshold of cash in and cash out transactions an agent cash effect.

ADHERENCE AND ASSOCIATED FACTORS TO TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS CARE AMONG ADOLESCENTS AT KISII COUNTY the recommendations management is associated with better clinical outcomes. In Kisii County, the adherence of adolescents living with T1DM to diabetic care is not well known. The study had the purpose to assess the adherence of children suffering from T1DM to Diabetic care and its associated factors. The quantitative cross-section study was conducted in Kisii County Diabetic Association Centre in Nyamache Sub- County, Kisii County among a convenient sample of 108. The study was conducted from February to April (precise date). A structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Ethical approval was sought and obtained from UR-CMHS-IRB (number of ethics). Participation was voluntary and other ethical principles were observed throughout the study. Descriptive data were entered into the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21, and then analyzed using Pearson Chi-square, to determine association between variables. The significance level was set at p-value of < 0.05 A total of 106 (98%) participants who consisted of 40.6% male and 59.4% female completed the survey. The majority of participants were aged between 15-19 (79.2%) years while 22(20.8%) were between 10-14 years old. 79.2% were adherent to diabetic care while 20.8% were not adherent. (72.6%) had schooling while (27.4%) did not attend school. The majority of the participants (79.2%) were in boarding school and (20.8%) were living out of school. Moreover (63.2%) children were living with both parents and (61.3%) of parents were married. There is no association between adherence and Age, gender , Child in boding school, Duration of medication, or if there are causes delayed respect of nurse‘ instructions but the others factors are associated with adherence: schooling child( p:0.001) , Relationship with guardian p:0.001) Parent status(p:<001) ,Guardian‘ occupation(p:<001), education level of guardian( p:0.017) (p:),Ubudehe category(p:<001), Health insurance(p:0.025) Complication (p:0.001) and Co-morbidities
